Who are we

Brightlabs is a laboratory for high-end chemical analysis for different types of industries e.g. pharmaceutical, cannabis and food. We started seven years ago as a specialist in analytical chemistry, and are a fast growing company which is located at the Brightlands Campus Greenport in Venlo. Our team of highly skilled experts do not turn their back to any analytic chemical challenge but embrace the opportunity to help our customers. This varies from the development of a customer specific chemical assays in cannabis-cookies to supporting the release process of a drug substance by performing method development and validation.

Who are you?

An analytical project leader who is highly enthusiast about analytical chemistry, especially with liquid- and gas chromatography. You go for the extra mile to get things done and are comfortable to take the initiative in primary work processes.
You have a proven background in analytical chemistry, and are able to translate the customer question into an analytical solutions. While keeping in mind the requested timelines and budget. For this you have a small team of analytical chemist, which you lead on a day to day basis to meet the targets, and help them with small and bigger analytical challenges. If analytical challenges arise you are able to setup a plan to find and fix the problem. After finalizing of the practical work, you are able to draw conclusions, and make the final reporting.
Beside good documentation and report your findings properly, you can conclude the results and set-up a plan forward. Further, you are used to work according GMP guidelines and/or ISO certified quality systems. You will report to the general manager. To our team of 20 analysts you will also bring in:

  • A MSc or PhD in analytical Chemistry, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a chemical analyst,
  • Or BSc in analytical Chemistry with experience as project manager of group management.
  • You have a proven knowledge of chromatographic techniques.
  • Accountable for managing your workflow and strong communication skills.
  • (Technical) reporting skills; written and verbally.
  • Positive mindset and a good dosage of humor.

As an specialist in Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), you are highly enthusiast about analytical chemistry, and especially with liquid- and gas chromatography in combination with mass spec.
You have a proven background in analytical chemistry, and are working for multiple years with mass spectrometric equipment. During this time you have created a track record with method development and trouble shooting. With your experience you are able to help your team members with their challenges. If analytical challenges arise you are able to setup a plan to find and fix the problem. After finalizing of the practical work, you are able to draw conclusions, and make the reporting.
On a daily basis you will be reporting to one of the project leaders, but are able to plan your work by yourself.
To our team of 20 analysts you will also bring in:

  • A BsC, MsC or PhD in analytical Chemistry.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with LCMS techniques.
  • Proven knowledge of method development using MS techniques.
  • (Technical) reporting skills; written and verbally.
  • Positive mindset and a good dosage of humour.

A (senior) chemical analyst who is highly enthusiast about analytical chemistry, especially with liquid- and gas chromatography combined with mass spectrometry (LCMS/MS and GCMS/MS). You go for the extra mile to get things done and are comfortable to take the initiative in primary work processes. You feel the responsibility to take care of equipment maintenance and trouble shooting. After finalizing practical work, you are able to draw attention to suspected results and evaluate the process, including yourself. Beside good documentation and report your findings properly, you can conclude the results and set-up a plan forward. Further, you are used to work according GMP guidelines and ISO certified quality systems. You will report to the laboratory manager and on daily basis to the
project leader(s).
To our team of 20 analysts you will also bring in:

  • A BsC, MsC or PhD in analytical Chemistry.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a chemical analyst, with a proven knowledge of chromatographic techniques.
  • Knowledge of LC-MS/MS and/or GCMS/MS is a plus.
  • Accountable for managing your own workflow and strong communication skills.
